HydraGlow Meets Color Seasons: Discover Your Perfect Match

How do you know when makeup is right for you? Is it because you feel most like yourself in it, or because it’s part of a group of colors you naturally gravitate toward? Personal color analysis is the right method to help you answer this question.

As a color analyst, I create customized palettes for clients based on their unique coloring—using your hair, eyes, and skin tone. A palette is a fan of 25–30 swatches designed to suit a variety of occasions.

Suzanne Caygill, who developed seasonal color analysis, believed that every person belongs to one of the four seasons in nature: Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring. Taking its cue from nature, each season reflects distinct qualities of personal color and design.

Your season and color influences everything—from wardrobe choices to home décor—and especially makeup.

Makeup is often the most important place to apply your colors. After all, we all want our skin to look its most radiant, healthy, and glowing, right?

This blog post is a chance to explore which of Sary’s products might work best for each season. If you’ve had your palette done, you can go straight to the products that have been “tagged” for your season. If you haven’t yet had your palette done but have a hunch about which season you belong to, this is a fun way to test your theory (and of course, you’re always welcome to come see me for a full analysis!).

As you know, Sary Farkash debuted her makeup line with the HydraGlow Lip Treatment. The treatment currently comes in three shades, plus a clear gloss.

Let’s take a look at how they work with each season:

Summers

I’m beginning with Summer, since Sary’s lip treatment colors are especially flattering for this season. Petal is a soft pink that adds the perfect touch of brightness for light summers (think Iridescent, Rose-Tone, Mermaid vibes). For dark summers, Rose has an earthy berry quality. Its stain-like texture creates a soft, subtle finish that works beautifully for this season.

Autumns

This one’s easy: Mocha is a perfect fit. With just the right warmth to flatter autumn tones, it enhances natural richness. Autumns often lean casual, but if you want to elevate your everyday look with a little extra flair, Mocha transitions seamlessly from day to night.

Springs

Petal shines here too, with its sweet, playful brightness. It’s girlish, fun, and a lovely everyday pink. On the wishlist? A peachy-coral lip treatment would be a dream come true for springs.

Winters

Pair a sleek liner with Clear for a polished, minimal look (a personal favorite of Sary herself). Rose is also gorgeous on winters—especially those with olive undertones—offering a bold yet refined finish.

Have you tested the shade that’s right for your season?
